Someone who used to come and see me for lots of free advice in the Tavistock shop, who has lots and lots of money, has just dusted off their 20 year old homeopathy college qualification and joined social media under a name that is incredibly similar to my business

The total paybill for the civil service is around £14b. Even if the govt was to cut the numbers claimed, this would only amount to around 10% of that £14b. Maybe the PM is right to focus on Maths curriculum - just a pity he’s cutting the Department for Education. 6/6

So where exactly is this 70,000 cut coming from. HMRC?  Already struggling to cope with the increase in self assessment taxpayers (1.2 million extra this year alone) and a tax gap that currently stands at £36b.

A short thread. 1/6

Isn’t this what happens in the James Bond film Thunderball as a sort of hidden message that the government are willing to pay the ransom per the terrorists’ demands?

The civil service is only around 10% of the entire public sector and the annual pay bill is around £14b. Not sure anything announced up until now on headcount reduction makes much of a dent in £75b.

Again I've long warned UK had become 85% dependent on EU hauliers/driver accompanied RoRo services. Now need for driver *unaccompanied* services/ports.
EU on EU side, UK on UK side.
UK can look forward to an army of undertrained, inexperienced HGV drivers on its roads

This is horrifying.

Exeter's Active Street Trial has largely removed this danger from one primary school.

Now need to do same for all.

Hard to believe some want to go back to more SUVs outside primary schools.

In our experience, SUVs feature heavily in bus gate violations
