Good evening, Liz liz bandy & its my pleasure. I thought that, on the basis that you can't make it to Lighthouse Poole to see our show, some video might serve as a substitute. Here's a clip which shows some of the seascapes from further afield, including one of 'St Tropez'!

Good evening AUSSIE Twit πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί & thank you, that is most kind. The online resources NLS Map Collections are a gold-mine of information & offer one a glimpse in to the past, in many ways. In this view of 'Appledore' by Brynhild Parker from 1932 one can pick out the features on the map.

Good evening, Jacqui Jacqui Wicks & what an interesting painting: maybe someone here will recognise the style. Walter Steggles also sketched 'Berwick-upon-Tweed Castle' & a view of 'Berwick-upon-Tweed' that I'm sure you'll recognise, both of which date from 1936.

Great memories too, Jacqui, I expect! Jacqui Wicks Thanks for allowing me to use your photo. Here's one from your neck of the woods. This is 'Berwick-upon-Tweed' by Walter Steggles from his post-war work but based on sketches from 1936.

Good evening @cwestweets & thank you for supporting our show Lighthouse Poole. We were in the gallery on Saturday but not until about 12.45pm so we might have missed you. Your photos feature two of the previously unseen work in the show: there are 21 in total including these four

Good evening, John John Tizard & thank you. Archibald Hattemore lived at 6 Kenmure Road in Hackney so 'The Window' was most likely painted there, I expect. This screen-grab from Street View shows Arch's house on the right. The front door says 6A, so, presumably it is now flats
