Wonderful to spend today at The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood’s symposium. Inspiring speeches and a powerful sense of momentum from a cross sectoral alliance. Great to see how National Literacy Trust’s Early Words Matter campaign is part of a wider coalition dedicated to strengthening early childhood.
A shocking 1 in 7 state UK primary schools don’t have a library. We’re calling on the government to acknowledge how important school libraries are and match-fund library provision.
