Authors, I know it's flattering when production companies approach you, but they're playing on your desire to see your work on the screen and plan to use you as scab labor. Say no to all 'opportunities' until our fellows in the WGA fulfill their goals!

Keep in mind they will choose you right now bc they think they can under pay you & steal compensation for your labor. They aren’t going to treat you better than union writers

And if they pretend to (they offer money money), it’s so they can screw your & others over later

I'm incredibly proud of how transparent our union is. In the Writers Guild of America West's strike announcement, we included a list of our proposals, and the AMPTP's responses. Read it for yourself: it explains in black and white we're forced to go on strike.

Cannot stress enough that y'all need to buckle up for some terrible media coming your way. And when that time comes, you need to remember that it wasn't the WGA's fault; it was bc the execs, the AMPTP and stock holders demanded actual working people be fed absolute fucking scraps

the fact that hollywood - instead of giving writers their fair dues - decided to 'prepare' for the eventuality of this strike by laying off their workers and preventing greenlights is all the more reason to stand with the #WGAstrike #WGAstrong
