When I lived in Bristol I saw Helen Dunmore read many times (inc slams). She had the most amazing quiet rapport with an audience. This poem ‘My life’s stem was cut’ from her Bloodaxe Books posthumous, Costa-winning collection INSIDE THE WAVE, just made me gasp on the train! ❤️
