Whether you think #COP28 is 🥛half-empty or half-full, transitioning away from/phasing down/out our expensive and deadly addiction to fossil fuels - will happen much faster if we stop subsidizing them with taxpayers money, and people's health.

'It's not enough for us to reference the science and then make agreements that ignore what the science is telling us we need to do. This is not an approach that we should be asked to defend.'

This was not the closing act but the opening scene of a reinvigorated fight for 1.5.

The #COP28 outcome is simply not enough.

We need an equitable fossil fuel phase out, but the UN Climate Change time and time again demonstrates the inability to meet the urgency required to keep 1.5 alive.

But there is still hope—in a #FossilFuelTreaty . ✊
