I often see this rhetoric but it's never explained how this allows parents to 'take control'. If I get a travel voucher, that doesn't give me control over the airlines & pilots, does it? Privatization generally cedes more leverage to the producer w/ less publicly accountability.

The absurdity of charter school funding:
Imagine if someone said, “Hey, let’s split this school district into two. Same number of kids still, but let’s pay for two superintendents, two sets of buildings, and so on.” That would sound nuts, but that’s what is happening. (1/2)

Attorney General Eric Schmitt dismissed his case against Agape Boarding School without having a replacement lawsuit ready to go, and now state social workers are leaving tortured kids in the sole supervision of their abusers.

We need federal intervention immediately.
