Right across the border, if you continue to the Italian side of the Julian Alps, you’ll stumble upon two beautiful lakes called laghi di Fusine. Located at the foot of Mt. Mangart, the 3rd highest mountain of Slovenia, it offers incredible scenery in all seasons! 📸 simon zupan

Surrounded by fifteen 2000-meter peaks, this picturesque Alpine valley Loška Koritnica is also called a valley of a hundred waterfalls. It got its name after many gorges (Slo. Korito) that the Koritnica river made on its way to the Soča river. Photo by 📸 @pirchek

The church of St. Peter’s is located at 839m and looks over Begunje and the mountainous Gorenjska region. It also happens to be in the last strip of spring, whereas above the church prevails winter yet again.

When the seasons collide ❄️🌸❄️ I can’t say I mind a sprinkle of snow in mid April but it’s definitely surprising, especially after such warm temperatures during the past weeks. 🤷🏻‍♀️

A few days ago we were enjoying ourselves in warm temperatures, sunshine and spring up on Velika Planina, and today we’re back to wearing winter jackets. Crazy temperatures! Eventually the temperatures will rise and we’ll see the mountains in vibrant spring colors again 🌸

Pretty idyllic up on Velika Planina 😍😍😍 Warm, speckled with colorful flowers, green rolling hills that end with a backdrop of snow-capped peaks and beautiful old shepherds’ houses. Thank you so much @alpineresorts (Instagram) for hosting us in one of your cute mountain huts!
