FHP remembers Robert P. McDermon, Sr., who died in the line of duty on April 11, 1981. He died in the line of duty as a result of a gunshot wound received near Jacksonville. Trooper McDermon was 35 years old and had served with the Florida Highway Patrol for 11 years. #FHP
