Phenomenal views of Bewick's Swan Fair Isle Bird Obs yesterday. Having had a few Whoopers in previous days, this was a chance to see the differences in structure and bill pattern. A super smart bird!

Sitting on the edge of Kroga geo Fair Isle Bird Obs when I noticed brown blobs on the beach. A closer look revealed at least five Woodcock! Autumn migration on islands is just unbeatable.
A brilliant day of late autumn birding Fair Isle Bird Obs - the irruptive Coal Tits stole the show with 14 sheltering on the west cliffs, alongside a pristine white 'Northern' Treecreeper, and a 'Black-bellied' Dipper halfway down a geo!
One of a handful of Waxwing taking shelter at a wild Fair Isle Bird Obs today - impossible to resist taking photos of these exquisite birds!
A story in four parts...
A very chilled Harbour Seal Fair Isle Bird Obs today, where they're scarce visitors amongst the breeding Grey Seals
Absolutely blown away to catch this Hen Harrier Fair Isle Bird Obs - what an amazing bird to see in the hand!
