Clara Barton-Hawthorne Elementary School students got an energy boost before school on May 3 at the Donuts with Grownups event. Students invited an important grownup to join them for a donut and spend some quality time with them before school started for the day.

WDAY Meteorologist Jesse Ritka visited the third graders at Kennedy Elementary School. She spoke to the students about different types of weather, weather patterns, meteorology, and what it is like to be a meteorologist.

The sixth grade Broncos team at Carl Ben Eielson Middle School hosted a Greek Party. The students and staff came together as a unit to enjoy each other's company with Greek-inspired food and activities.

Eagles Elementary School kindergarteners brought some color to the sidewalks at Touchmark at Harwood Groves. The students worked together to create works of art out of sidewalk chalk for the residents to enjoy.

Madison Elementary School hosted the Books and Bingo event on April 30 to get students fired up about reading and help them build their own personal libraries. Families enjoyed a meal, games of Bingo, made bookmarks, and received books to take home.
