Florida is abundant with healthy, locally grown products, and we know the best way to combat hunger is through providing our neighbors nutrient-dense foods like Florida produce, protein, milk, and yogurt. Thank you to our farmers!

On this National Ag Day, let’s look back at some of our farmer visits this year. Our local ag community is critical to our work- they make it possible for our food banks to provide healthy, nutritious, Florida-grown food to our neighbors who need it most.

Did you know? 🌽 Our friends at U.S. Sugar harness the power of corn as a rotational crop and at the end of each growing season. The left over biomass is incorporated into the soil to help rebuild organic matter, which is critical to all farming in south Florida. 🌱💪
