Why would you agree to an interview on a topic when you don’t have the facts? Radio 4 keep repeating her point about doctors and nurses being taken off shift due to lack of child care, but Greenwich letter clearly said schools open to key worker and vulnerable children.

Fantastic Zoom event with Lady Hale in support of TaxAid and Tax Help for Older People yesterday evening. Really enjoyed Lady Hale’s Spider Woman cocktail recipe (dry at first as I had another meeting afterwards but with gin later). Plastic spider optional!

Finally it becomes easier and more acceptable for parents (mainly mothers) to work more flexibly around school and childcare, and people suggest taxing them for the privilege. Never mind the fact that it goes against all the principles of good tax policy making.
