Hey YES Network Michael Kay Don’t let John Sterling leave the booth until the Yankees get their at bat in the bottom of the inning. Give him one more shot at a home run call!

There are some legendary voices associated with the New York Yankees. Names like Phil Rizzuto, Bob Sheppard, and now John Sterling. We will miss his energy. Yankees radio won’t be the same

This was a great podcast on mental health in EMS. A couple personal takeaways for me

“We don’t need to talk people into having PTSD”

“It’s OK to be OK”

“We have to make space for the people who DON’T get affected by it”

Clay Holmes gives me agita. His numbers this year are are due more to luck and solid defense than quality pitching

EMS is a grind. That’s the nature of it. It’s work. WORK! It’s dirty, bloody, exhausting, physically and mentally demanding. The hours are long. The pay is mediocre. You’re exposed to disease, violence, and death. What did you think it was when you signed up? The job is the job!

This podcast was a breath of fresh air frankly and a great “reality” check for those on the “paramedic practitioner” bandwagon.

Should paramedics work this code or not?

-Unwitnessed cardiac arrest
-No bystander CPR
-“No shocks indicated” on first responder AED
-Presenting rhythm is asystole

This is a non viable patient and should be a pronouncement IMO.

NEMSAC vs NAEMT. Here’s my 2 cents. 99% of medics/EMTs never heard of NEMSAC and have no idea what they are or what they do. I’ve been in the industry 30+ years and had to google it. Flip side is anyone who has ever taken PHTLS or AMLS at least has some familiarity with NAEMT
