The Gender Representation on Public Boards Amendment Bill took only 2 minutes to pass Stage 2. One more stage before the unlawful definition of 'woman' is removed from the face of the Act.

Gender ideology has been the catalyst to the downfall of two First Ministers. How many more must fall until they realise that this is a danger to women and girls, is deeply opposed by the public, and a women is an adult human female?

All these ‘top dollar commentators on all things politics’. Now not noticing the impact of the Cass review and the challenge it presents to our health and education services. And not noticing its role in the ending of a coalition and the loss of an FM. How does that work?

Still puzzled as to what the FM was referring to when he said he wasn't 'prepared to trade his values & principles simply to retain power' when what Ash Regan was asking for was 'protecting the dignity, safety & rights of women & children, & providing a competent government'.

I hadn't realised this news had reached the press. I think Rosie Duffield MP will agree with me that using the word 'troll' to describe men who make explicit death threats against women minimises both the offence and the effect on the recipients.

A reminder that opposition parties have not always got involved in choice of FM and - in effect - the only reason Patrick Harvie has leverage over next SNP leader is if Cons and Lab give him that, by getting involved in the voting.

Here are those voyeurs who hid in mixed gender changing rooms at swimming pools to secretly film up to 6000 young women getting undressed. Adam Dennis, 39, and Robert Morgan, 33, ‘hunted’ for teenage girls and made catalogues of their pictures to share and trade online.

Ooft. Stephen Flynn MP tells Andrew Marr on LBC he was 'quite happy' at the ending of the Bute House Agreement & says Green criticism of council tax freeze was a 'bitter pill to swallow' When Marr says the Scottish Greens are 'polling at 1%' Flynn says 'are they that high?'

Kate Forbes 'seriously' considering run to replace Humza Yousaf as SNP leader.

Allies say John Swinney would be the 'ultimate continuity candidate' and, despite service to party, is 'yesterday's man'.

This is undoubtedly true. I remember many discussions in 2019 with folk in Holyrood who would wave away any suggestion that this was a major issue and could be hugely problematic for govt. Not the only one of course but at the time there weren’t many who cd see it

Today of all days 🤦🏼‍♀️ I think some MSPs underestimate how pissed off people are with the political chaos. They want leaders to do their job: to focus on fixing the mess of our public services, the economy, to rebuild the country. The Scottish Parliament is not a social club for…

Following Humza Yousaf's resignation as Scotland's First Minister, Alba Party's Ash Regan MSP has said it is 'bizarre' that he quit rather than working with her and her party, to survive a potential no-confidence vote.

“How could that be against his values?” - Alba’s Holyrood leader and only MSP Ash Regan on putting her priorities of independence, women’s rights and competent government to the FM.

I asked what happened in her call with Humza Yousaf this morning.

.Neale Hanvey MP ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✊ rightly saying that 'social transitioning is not a neutral act'. He says a new FM should commit to 'factual science-based education' & implement the recommendations in full. Damian Hinds says Cass has 'injected some much needed common sense'.

For Women Scotland have a campaign poster that reads 'women are angry, ignore us at your peril'. As Susan Smith of FWS pointed out today, two First Ministers have now chosen to ignore, dismiss or demonise the voices of many women. “Doing the same thing in expectation of a…
