Extremely sad outcome from the Road Traffic Collision yesterday. Thank you everyone for your patience. The road is now open again.

Please be aware we are dealing with Two major incidents on the A48 at Minsterworth and the A48 at Blakeney. Multiple road closures are in place which may cause major delays to road users. Please plan your routes accordingly and be patient with the officers on scene.

Several incidents of theft occurred on 5/4/24 in the Coleford area. Namely garden tools and bikes. Please be vigilant and ensure valuable items are not left in vehicles or in an insecure location.

Following a search of his property we found what we believe to be Class A and B drugs along with cash, all of which was seized. A 26yr old female occupant was also arrested for drugs offences and both she and the male have been interviewed about the items found. (2of3)

The North Team had a very successful night last night!

We located a vehicle stolen during a burglary in Cinderford a few weeks ago. The vehicle was in Coleford and was seized. We then attended an address nearby where we arrested a 28yr old male for Burglary. (1of3)

We're appealing for witnesses to a collision in Newent earlier this month involving a grey Mini Countryman and a pedestrian. The incident happened in the car park of the 3 Shires Garden Centre between 12.00pm -12.30pm on Tuesday 5 March.

Finally we’ve arrested another male in Berry Hill on suspicion of theft from motor vehicle and fraud offences. A fantastic shift demonstrating excellent team work and dedication with all officers finishing late to make sure things are wrapped up.

Then we arrested males in Newent and in Drybrook both of whom were wanted with arrest warrants issued having failed to attend court. They will now be presented to court for their hearings. (3of4)

This morning we went across the border to Monmouth to capture 2 people wanted for shoplifting offences committed in our area. They didn’t want to answer the door but once we got the big red key out they decided it was time to give up! Both have now been charged (2of4)

We’ve had a very busy day catching wanted people!!! Both North and South teams have been working together, out knocking on doors for people who are currently wanted. Whilst we knocked on lots of doors without reply we have had lots of successes too. (1of4)

Following great work from Forest NPT and our colleagues on LPT a prolific shoplifter has been imprisoned.
A 29-year-old man was sentenced on 22nd March 2024 and has been imprisoned for 12 wks after being convicted of a string of shoplifting offences occurring in Coleford.

Armed police, with support of the National Police Air Service, searched the area and a man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and possession of a knife. No-one was injured and the man remains in police custody. (2of2)

There was a police presence in Cinderford yesterday (Thursday) after we were called to a concern for welfare incident. It was reported that a man had left an address with a knife and had made threats. (1of2)
