Crews are onsite in #KelownaBC repairing damage to a gas line caused by an external party. The laneway between Patterson Avenue and Wardlaw Avenue is closed. We appreciate the public’s patience while we make repairs our system.

Our crews have determined that the gas odour in #PortMoody was unrelated to our gas system. This is a good reminder that if you smell rotten eggs, stop what you’re doing, go outside and dial 9-1-1 or call our 24-hour emergency line.

Today our crews responded to a gas odour call in #VancouverBC , incorrectly reported in media as a gas leak. Upon investigation, the source was determined to be an appliance inside the building and was unrelated to our gas system. The situation has been resolved.

We’re conducting aerial inspections of our gas transmission lines to ensure they continue to operate safely and reliably. A low-flying helicopter will pass through #VancouverIslandBC and #LowerMainlandBC periodically from late April to mid-May. bit.ly/3dKyYt1
