July 1858 (no date) 'The Grand Old Man of Aston Villa' was born.
Frederick Rinder arrived at Aston Villa in 1881 aged 18 & he first came to the fore in 1887 when Villa built the grandstand at Perry Barr.
He became Chairman in 1898 & the rest is history.
