Loneliness is the bitter lot in life of many elderly persons, who are victims of the throwaway culture. We must not forget them! So, I have chosen the theme for the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly: “Do not cast me off in my old age” (Psalm 71:9)

At the conclusion of this stage of the journey we have completed, it is important to look at the “principle and foundation” from which everything begins ever anew: loving God with all our life and loving our neighbour as ourselves. This is the heart of everything. #Synod
