I have been very moved by the testimonies of all those who entered the Catholic Church this Easter, but then again we have an awesome God. I shouldn’t be surprised.

Easter Triduum starts in Spain and processions begin to tell the story.
I miss Spain.

first time I washed feet was a joyous experience. It was easy. I knew the parishioners. The difficult part is to “wash the feet” of those who don’t like us or betray us. Jesus washed the feet of His friends including Judas. Let’s imitate Him in humility and love.

St Joseph wasn’t a good man because of his silence, but because against all odds, he trusted God completely, in the most difficult situation.

Let’s trust God especially in difficult situations.

I don’t know why but the hardest prayer for me is “Your will be done.” I always get that feeling that I “give up” when I pray like that. I know I know. It is more faith that I need, so this Holy Week my prayer everyday is, “Your will be done always.”

It is at these times that everyone believes in God.

Bye Spain. Bye silence in my small town. Bye family. 37 years traveling and it gets harder every time.

I have been away from social media for some days now and this is what I have experienced:

My blood pressure went down.
No head aches.
I slept better.
I smile more.
No stress.

I wonder why this is.

My niece got married and I cried like a little kid thinking my mom and dad would have loved it and I loved being the priest there for her.

I thank God for my birth, one more year. For the sufferings, for my age, for all the amazing things in my life, for my vocation, and for being in my life in everything that happens.
I pray for all of you today especially for those who are alone.

After a year, I am very excited to go home to Spain. I will do my niece’s wedding and it will be the first time in 30 years that I will be home for my birthday. I feel so blessed. Thank you God for these little things. My health is still weird but it will have to wait. 🙏🙏

Nothing gives me more joy than wherever there is a church or a chapel, I know I can celebrate Mass. That miracle is more than anything in this world.

Nothing says happy Valentine’s Day like taking your date to get your ashes in church and reminding each other that one day you are both going to die AND then eat fish for dinner. #Valentinesday2024
