What a total disaster #brexit has been for Britain. As Chris Patten has said: the worst policy mistake ever made. A whole generation, maybe more, robbed of their living standards & freedoms & the U.K. permanently poorer.

Doing this work has allowed me to see so much of the country. Mostly I think schools, teachers, students, teaching... are more alike than different.

Never trust someone who writes in block capitals. I know this country voted for Johnson despite the warnings but Trump is in another league….truly dangerous

I completely agree. Our suspensions & exclusions are higher than I want them to be but the answer isn’t to stop doing it - it’s to prevent the behaviour that leads to it. With so little funding around alternative provision, parenting support & SEND it’s becoming harder to achieve

The DfE has to make big cuts to afford its teacher pay contribution, and like tutoring this was clear it was a one-off package

But huge blow to the sector and will feel like a big cut. It also comes days after another stark recruitment and retention warning
