The NS Environment and Climate Change department recently added red tape to the forest sector.

These changes:

🌲 Harm landowner rights
🚫 Make it easier for people to trespass on private property
🛑 Make it easier to disrupt businesses

Paper Excellence Canada has made a $25,000 contribution towards the Canadian Red Cross Nova Scotia & Atlantic Canada Fires Appeal.

With matched contributions from the Government of Canada and the Nova Scotia Government, a total of $75,000 has been contributed.

We new markets for low grade wood. Without a mill or biomass facilities (or both) there is no place for low grade wood to go.

This is forest fire fuel.

Without a market, it will sit on the ground and dry out.

This increases the risk of wildfires.
