🏥 👩87-year-old, Riany Chandler, from Varsity Lakes is one of the patients who benefit from the new Robina Hospital Transfer Unit. The Transfer Unit represents the final part of the $16.5mil Robina ED Expansion project, providing a specialised space to streamline patient flow.

🛠The $72 million Sub-Acute Building at the Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) has 'topped out', meaning the roof is now in place. The Sub-Acute Building will provide an additional 70 beds for GCUH, caring for frail older adults and younger patients with complex health needs.

🚑 🏥 The Coomera Hospital continues to advance, with the site now cleared, retaining walls being built and earthworks underway to level the site.

Starting this week, patients visiting the Robina Transfer Unit will now be seen at a new location near the main entrance of the hospital.

The Robina Transfer Unit is available to patients discharging and transferring from inpatient units and the Emergency Department.

Last week, Gold Coast Health staff from the Neurology department joined the global initiative of #PurpleDay to raise epilepsy awareness! 💜

Staff baked, wore purple, and donated $180 to support this cause.
