We're proud to have a considerable number of veterans on our team. In honor of #VeteransDay , we asked a few of them to share how the experiences and skills they gained while serving have translated to their civilian careers.

During his time in the US Marine Corps, Corporal John Gillmer specialized in Information Systems Management, which he says laid the foundation for his success in his current role as a Senior Digital Solutions Analyst.

Sergeant Mary Oleary Kasales believes leadership and team building are the most valuable skills she gained during her time in the US Army. As EDL Scrumban Master and Senior PM, she utilizes these skills to ensure everyone on her team feels invested in program successes.

First Lieutenant Eve Drzyzga served as a bioenviromental engineer in the US Air Force where, she says, she learned to recognize the unique contributions every member of a team has to offer.

In the US Army, Captain Paul Eno served as an aviation platoon leader for a team of attack helicopter pilots, despite being the most inexperienced pilot in his unit. This experience taught him that there is more to leadership than subject matter expertise.

Lastly, Master Sergeant Michele Vogel says her time serving at an Air Force Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory helped her develop critical relationship building skills, which are vital to her success as a Quality Lead on our Quality and Instrumentation team.
