A prediction... In my lifetime the Champions League (or replacement) will be scheduled on Saturdays/Sundays with 3rd round FA Cup ties (onwards) relegated to midweek permanently due to TV/big clubs/money. How far in the future I don't know but it'll happen.

Today would have been Andrew’s 50th birthday.

Aged 11, Andrew was the youngest victim of the fire at Bradford City that killed 56 people.

Last night shows how great the knockout stages of the CL are and how those that win the tournament deserve immense praise. These days many like to snipe/criticise and fan rivalry plays a part, but we should all congratulate those that manage remarkable achievements/major success.

It was a great tie. Madrid did what they did well. City were superb and lots of praise is deserved for these players. It hurts losing but no blame. That’s football. Sometimes we win, sometimes we don’t.

Despite the result, despite the real possibility of another season in the Counties, this is unreal from a level 9 football club. Proud to be a Bury fan, delighted and thankful to have our club back. #buryfc

I shouldn’t look for parallels but here’s 1 that it’s worth saying: season after winning treble MUFC went out of CL at Qtr final stage, beaten by Real Madrid. Utd went on to retain the PL. Means nowt of course overall but thought I’d say it for those who look for signs!
