I’m hanging around in Long Beach, California

I enjoyed hanging around in Indianapolis the past couple days. Off to Long Beach next.

Ryan is back.

I just got home from a nice motorcycle ride in the mountains. Thanks to everyone that followed along.

Please don’t send me any NASCAR Texas results. I have it on DVR so the race is just starting on my tv.

I had a great ride down the ‘Back of the Dragon’.
Now I am at Wild Woody’s. Laurel Springs, NC

Tazewell. VA. I decided to turn off hwy16 and ride roads with the only plan, try and keep the morning sun to my right. Had a great ride on narrow but paved roads with no painted lines. Ended up here. Probably time to turn South. Maybe.

I’m at the J. Stuart Staley Memorial Overlook. A very quiet morning. Only sound is the breeze and a woodpecker off in the distance.

It’s still cool here but beginning to warm up.
Let’s take a ride up the road called, ‘Back of the Dragon’ maybe we’ll visit places we’ve never been. Nebo, VA seems like a good place, let’s go find it.

It’s a little cool now so I will take my time having coffee and watching this small town wake up.
After riding the Florida flat, straight roads this past Winter, the mountains look inviting. Let’s go: “Find new roads”

One of my favorite stops, Sarah’s, has closed and is for sale. Corner of Flat Ridge Road and Troutdale Road.

I’ve been riding backroads - headed to Marion VA.

1984 we were the defending champions, this was pretty much our entire team.
No pit box, no pit wall, no pit road speed limit, no crew helmets, no crew fire suits.

This is a picture of the Whelen Engineering pit entrance lights at Martinsville Speedway.
Whelen has always made the best lights and lighting systems I am happy to see so many Whelen lights everywhere I go.

Nice front entrance to Martinsville Speedway.
I’ve been coming here since the mid ‘70’s, every visit since, I have been impressed with all of the improvements.

Always a popular place here at Martinsville.
