There is no ‘backstory’ to ending of 2/care NHS Practitioner Health other than (we’re told) - no budget. To remind, it was established following suicide of a psychiatry who also killed her baby and highlighted the barriers doctors have in accessing mental health care.

Headlines for year end 2023 ⁦NHS Practitioner Health⁩ 22/24 figures still being collated but you get the drift. We are seeing more per month now than at peak of covid

It seems Abbasi hasn't applied his understanding of systematic review methodology to the #CassReview as if he had read the reviews he would have noticed the flaws in their approach that I & others have pointed out. We'll be submitting a commentary to BMJ Evidence Based Medicine.

We're about to hear the outcome of Mark Butler’s “unleashing the power of the medical workforce”review & I expect it will come out saying that any health professional who thinks they’re good enough can pop up their shingle & be a GP substitute. It’s happening already. Is this OK?
