The public vote in Eurovision Song Contest can be easily manipulated. The only reason for allowing up to 20 votes from one phone number is money.

At 18 you can work as a bus or coach driver which includes night shifts. You get a HGV license for 7.5 tons at 21, again which involves night shifts.

I see people saying ‘but Eden’s song was popular with the public’. We don’t know that. We know that it did spectacularly well in the public vote - but we also know there was a huge public campaign to get people to vote for her, including people who didn’t care about the song. 1/3
