Your periodic reminder that the publishing industry uses 'literary fiction' as a genre, but really, really wants you to treat it as a qualitative assessment.

It really is ok to just say 'horror' rather than getting caught up in all the equivocations of 'literary horror', 'horror-infused literary debuts', 'a literary coming-of-age story that also happens to be about a mother and daughter who eat people' etc.

Got to love it when a newspaper in the UK finally pays attention to horror publishing and how well it's doing, only to avoid talking to... All the major horror publishers in the UK?
