Assisted dying is a complex issue.

In an ideal society in which all life is precious, it would be a safe and humane thing to offer people.

But in a society that sees disability as a problem & considers it a burden, it is a terrifying prospect.

And our government has form…

I’ve been in some very turbulent waters the last few months.

Today we’ve had some good news that will hopefully see us enter some calmer waters. 🤞

As a good friend said to me recently

If you are struggling, know all things pass. 💜

It is ok to focus on your circle of influence. I would say it’s actually essential.
There is so much we can’t change & the bigger picture will drain you of the energy you can use more effectively on you & yours.
If that makes me sound selfish, so be it.
It’s about survival now.

I’ve always felt I was different, born to make a difference.
I think (hope) I have.
But I no longer want to help or support anyone outside my circle.
I know many who feel the same.
The world’s done that.

If all the nurturing, insightful, caring people shut down, we all lose💔

They are the only reason I keep going.
There is no better reason 💙💙💙

I’ve never liked people much but my god. I now despise most of them.

I’ve personally had a pretty shit few months, but the world has become somewhere I just don’t recognise. Or like. Or want to be part of.

My home is my haven & my family is the only thing keeping me going. 🙏

My 3 sons are still suffering as a result of it. It will never leave them.
