This is a product of the Whitehall mentality that tries to find every way imaginable to appease the Scottish Government. Doing so achieves nothing for the UK and only emboldens Holyrood. They expect parity of esteem because Whitehall has encouraged them to do so.

Most worrying aspect of this view from FM Humza Yousaf is fact he seems unaware that the RAF in joining NATO allies & Middle East countries airforces to successfully intercept the missiles & drones launched by Iran on Israel will hopefully have prevented tensions escalating. 🤦‍♀️

After a week of headlines sparked by Cass’s confirmation of scandalous failings in the treatment of gender confused kids, Humza Yousaf’s we’ll-get-to-it response is too little, too late. People need some reassurance he understands the seriousness of the situation.

So trans women will be covered by both hate crime and misogyny legislation while women wait for the misogyny law for that protection. But if a woman was attacked now because someone thought she was trans, is she then covered by the transgender aggravator in the hate crime law?
