Yesterday, I congratulated Coach Ben Barr and the Captains of Maine Men’s Ice Hockey on a spectacular season that saw the Black Bears return to the NCAA Tournament and lead the league in sell-out games. As my friend Joan Ferrini-Mundy says, 'When the Black Bears come to play, Maine wins.'

Today, I congratulated members of Maine Women's Basketball on their extraordinary season. Last month, the team won the America East championship and made our state proud by competing in the NCAA Tournament. Go Black Bears!
