Today, I toured Prairie View's Behavioral Urgent Care Center—an essential mental health provider in Newton. Expanding Medicaid makes it more likely people can access mental health care when they need it most. Let's get it done.

I'm at Shawnee County, KS Adult Detention Center for a roundtable as part of my Healthy Workers, Healthy Economy tour. By law, Kansas jails cover the cost of health care for uninsured individuals, spending taxpayer dollars that wouldn't be needed if more Kansans were insured by Medicaid.
