Emerging consumerism
Think about it, order it, consume

Socialist India (until the 70's)
imagine a time when it was hard to purchase 1 kg of rice outside of ration (not speaking of a telephone line or a bag of cement !!)

Are we hearing this ?

PM Modi - let us work with every one, for every one's progress and with every one's commitment and achieve 10x economic growth

Opposition - let us divide you up, divide your (not our) assets among you and then we will remain the only rich and powerful

Higher the entry barrier, fewer trying to

UK's Exports - India @ 18th
UK's Imports - India @ 13th

India's share of UK global trade - < 1.5%

All businessmen/traders have been worried about inheritance tax. Everyone thanks Sam Pitroda for bringing up this subject and government for vehemently criticizing the rationale. What a sigh of relief!
Loss of business however for CAs who were creating clever trust structures.

You need to understand ‘Tax Politics’ in India.

8/140 crore file IT Return.

2/140 crore Indians pay Income Tax. Only.

45 Lakh of them contribute 80% of this Income Tax.

Total 97 crore voters.

Do the maths - 0.5% of voters pay any meaningful Income Tax.

So you can say…

A small tea shop displays GST ID

Why is it that large malls don't display GST ID

Why is it that large hospitals don't display GST ID or owner information
