First Uni practical that’s involved a net, rather than a spreadsheet!
River surveying at Bridge of Allan, where I got my first caddisfly larvae. Monitoring mats helped us to ID flat bodied upwings, blackfly larvae & blue-winged olive.

Got my tea from Uni’s community fridge last night. Transition Stirling refill the fridge, which sits in the Sustainability Hub. Surplus produce from the allotment goes there too-that’s where our rhubarb went this week.
Reducing food waste and helping skint students. Cracking eh ☝️

This Easter weekend The RHS are running a campaign called #ShowUsYourShoots , asking us plantaholics to flood socials and celebrate plants and the joy they bring to our lives.
Been up to the University of Stirling garden today to look at what’s popping up in the veg beds, deffo my happy place

Back on the uni plot today we cracked on with the accessible path; nearly finished (ish). We harvested loads of rhubarb. And best of all, it didn’t rain, obvs an Easter miracle 🌱

Plenty of pennywort, lesser celandine, jelly ear fungus and foraged some wild garlic for me tea !
