To be a part of Support Company you must pass the Support weapons cadre in Brecon.
This course expands your knowledge of some of the heaviest hitting portable weapons in the British Army, whilst assessing your fitness and capability to use them in a combat scenario.

In Iraq the Queen's Company get to work on the ranges in Helmet and Body armour, the current temperature... a cool 44 degrees.

The Queen's Company main body have landed in Iraq ready to start enhancing the training of the Iraqi Security forces.
In order to get some much-needed shut-eye on the C130 aircraft, they had to rely the infantry skill of being able to sleep anywhere.

Time to fly.
The ability to efficiently deploy air assets to manoeuvre about the battle zone is critical to ground dominance.
Guardsmen are trained to deploy from various modes of transportation,  flexibility improves mobility.

Buddy Buddy.
The buddy buddy system is a well-known training strategy that fosters comradeship and teamwork. As a result, it creates a cohesive unit in which, if the worst were to happen, you will always have someone to your left or right who will assist you.

RODET training places a Guardsman in this situation, which, while controlled, effectively simulates a vehicle rolling and the confusion and risks it entails.
Each Guardsman must finish this training before being deployed on operations.

Number 2 Company prepare for operations.

Over the next year, we will deploy to Iraq to assist the Iraqi forces with training and enhance their capabilities.
Part of the training for this deployment involves putting our medical skills to the test.

Every year, the Battalion travels to France for adventure training in the form of skiing, a place where you can learn a skill for life and possibly a sport that will become a lifelong passion.

Try something new.
During the Scots Guards' deployment to the Jungle, they were taught jungle survival skills, which included how to find, collect, and prepare food within the jungle environment.

What does a life less ordinary look like?
The role of a Guardsmen is varied, and it is this variation that keeps things exciting. We are known not just for our precision on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace, but also for our superior talents on the battlefield.

This year the Battalion will move from its ceremonial role into our operational deployment role. 
Our upcoming deployment to Iraq will be the focus while Nijmegen Company continue to provide a ceremonial role within Central London.

The Sovereign’s Birthday Parade takes place on June 2nd 2022 and will also be the first major event of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend.

The ranges are being used by the Irish Guards to train their marksmanship. They have a busy year ahead of them as they take on public duties in London and prepare to take the lead in a special Platinum Jubilee Birthday Parade.

Members of the Battalion have spent the last few weeks in Hawaii taking part in US Jungle training. 
They have been able to deal with all that has been thrown at them thus far, despite competing in difficult terrain and unexpected weather.

Up close and personal.
The ability to destroy the enemy at close range is the objective of pistol shooting ranges. The emphasis is on being able to rapidly and precisely bring the weapon to bear. 
Every Guardsman is trained to a high level on the pistol.
