No rarities but always something to see around Camp Lane pits @GrimleyBirding . GC Grebes resplendent in their lockdown haircuts, Black-tailed Skimmers everywhere and our first Marbled Whites of the year. The Pyramidal Orchid stem broken in 2 places but still surviving.

Grimley this am, 5 hrs between Camp Lane and Wagon Wheel Lane pits, some of the flooded footpaths were interesting, highlights at CL - Water Rail (3), Cettiโ€™s Warbler (2), Stonechat (5); at WW - Great Egret (2), Goldeneye (2m), Mandarin (m), Goosander, Green Sand @GrimleyBirding

Brisk walk round Grimley CLP today...lots of finch flocks darting about, including these beautiful Goldfinch feeding on some seeds. Nice to see good numbers of Meadow Pipits too.

At Camp Lane Pits this morning was the leucistic Red-Crested Pochard still, the 2 Redshank young with an adult and a calling Cuckoo. At Wagon Wheel Lane Pits was a further Cuckoo seen in flight and a female Tufted Duck with 4 young @GrimleyBirding
