🚨INVESTIGATION: While hiking prices & getting government cash, Pfizer made over $27 BILLION in U.S. revenue - but will pay ZERO fed income taxes thanks to loopholes & Trump's tax law.

109 corps paid zero such taxes in at least 1 yr since Trump's tax law levernews.com/pfizers-massiv…

THREAD: Subway used to have $5 footlongs, now it’s “$6, six inches”. The McChicken used to be $1, now it's almost $3. Taco Bell’s Beefy 5-layer burrito was $0.89 in 2009, now it’s $3.69.

Fast food companies want to blame inflation or the minimum wage going up. It’s all a lie.

NEW: Nestle, Kellogg’s, and other big food conglomerates have been funding a massive misinformation campaign to make you think their foods are healthy.

Their goal is to get you addicted, and make billions in profits.

It’s straight from Big Tobacco's playbook — literally.

JBS paid a $25 million settlement last year over beef price-fixing.

Tyson has paid ~$220 million in recent years for inflating chicken prices.

Hormel is now getting grilled for illegally overcharging for pork.

When I say price gouging is driving inflation, this is what I mean.

We need a political revolution from down below to transform the political system and say: You know what, you’re elected to Congress. You represent me, not some big money lobbyist.

An $11 million fine on $2B in ill gotten profits... that's a transaction fee at that point. Our laws are pathetic.

How badly has MOHELA screwed up the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program?

MOHELA employees qualify for PSLF. You would think that if they could get it right for anyone the would get it right for themselves. So how many MOHELA employee's have gotten PSLF? Maybe zero.

The next time you hear someone blame inflation on stimulus checks that Americans got four years ago or workers finally getting much-needed pay bumps, kindly remind them that corporate profits are at a 70-year-high. Hello?

Let me applaud the President for using every possible tool to reduce student debt. Instead of giving more tax breaks to billionaires as Trump has proposed, Pres. Biden is providing financial relief to millions of low-income & working class Americans. It’s the right thing to do.

I was proud to join the courageous UNITE HERE Local 11 hospitality workers on the picket line yesterday in downtown LA. They’re part of a growing movement of workers who are standing up to corporate greed across this nation. You are an inspiration to us all.

Solidarity forever.

Drug companies have skyrocketed prices for asthma drugs in the United States.

Bernie Sanders called them out, and my administration is cracking down on these drug companies.

Now, three of the four largest companies are capping the cost of inhalers at $35.

Workers are more than 400% more productive than they were in the '40s.

And yet, almost all of the economic gains from technological achievements go straight to the top.

Working people must benefit from increased productivity, not just billionaires.

Apple is a $2.6 trillion corporation. It made $97 billion in profits last year & spent $77 billion on stock buybacks to manipulate its stock price. It shifts jobs to China to avoid paying American wages & it shifts profits abroad to avoid American taxes. It's time to break it up.

Starting pay for a McDonald's worker in Denmark is about $22 an hour. McDonald's workers in Denmark are also entitled to 6 weeks of paid vacation, 1 year of paid maternity leave, a pension & healthcare.

And a Big Mac in Denmark costs the same as it does in the US, not $20.
