No fog on the Tyne for our departure on Monday - just a few drops of rain on the camera lens! No amount of rain could dampen our spirits though after a fantastic weekend back at home on Tyneside. Thank you to everyone who visited us and made us feel so welcome 🇬🇧

Thank you Tyneside! After a fantastic weekend alongside, spent with regional affiliations, local civic groups and - incredibly - over 2500 members of the public who queued to visit us on Saturday, we have now sailed and resumed our maritime security operations around the UK 🇬🇧⚓️

An amazing weekend for the Crew of HMS NORTHUMBERLAND as the Ship returned home for a visit to the North East. We made the most of this opportunity to engage with the local community including football and rugby fixtures against local teams as well as a trip to Hadrian's Wall 🇬🇧

A day of Renown for HMS Northumberland as her ME Department was awarded for excellence in their field by RAdm McCarthy and the Defence Equipment & Support Project RENOWN team. The Department's hard work and drive have enabled the Ship to sustain readiness for operations throughout 2023 🇬🇧 #FearNORT

Frigate HMS Northumberland has been one of the navy’s busiest ships this year and will continue to be ready for action over Christmas. She is held at readiness to deploy when needed but until then, her sailors are able to enjoy some time over Christmas at home.
