Patrol ship HMS Spey has been strengthening the UK's ties with the #Philippines following a visit to the country's capital. The #RoyalNavy vessel received a warm welcome in Manila after training alongside the Philippine Navy and Philippine Coast Guard.

Building on their participation during last year’s Exercise SAMA SAMA, HMS SPEY conducted a Passage at Sea Exercise, known as a PASSEX, with the Philippine Navy Ship VALENTIN DIAZ as they exited Philippine 🇵🇭 waters.

Patrol ship HMS Spey paid her maiden visit to Colombo on the latest leg of her Indian Ocean patrol.

She spent 3 days there fostering 🇬🇧-🇱🇰 relations and military cooperation, ending with a short exercise.

Guests from the Sri Lankan Government, Diplomatic, Military, & Business communities were present last night, at a reception hosted by British High Commissioner Andrew Patrick & Commander Paul Caddy, Commanding Officer of HMS Spey during its visit to Sri Lanka.
