Right I am not sure I have mentioned enough that I was on BBC1’s #PoliticsSouth this morning, so here I am talking about why LTNs are popular and why we can’t all drive private cars all the time if we want people to get around.

Was good (and concerning) to see the traffic chaos outside Bounds Green Primary first-hand. Was pleased to be able to reassure pupils, parents and staff that designs are underway for a School Street. #streetsforpeople #streetsforchildren

There’s a school street surrounding my sons sch.

The st’s outside the sch st are filled at drop off & pick up times; 2 lanes of parked cars, 1 lane of traffic. These st’s aren’t built for this amount of traffic.

With a small catchment I don’t know why this is such an issue.

Fantastic - Haringey are delivering school streets at another 13 schools enabling over 4500 to 🚶‍♀️🚲🛴 safely to school and breathe cleaner air throughout the day. 💚

Absolutely - pavements are for people!!

🇳🇴 #Oslo recorded ZERO pedestrian or cyclist deaths in 2019 (and just one car driver).

⛔ How did they do it? By reversing decades of putting cars at the centre of #transport policy.

🚸 Improving #RoadSafety is possible if local politicians choose to make it happen.
