Marsabit County was today feted as the most inclusive County In Kenya. In a report by NCIC Kenya the County has increased the number of ethnic groups represented in the County Public Service from 24 in 2016 to 30 in 2023.

Currently, Counties command a workforce of 184,826, of which 53% (98,001) are female while 47% (85,644) are male. Nairobi is the biggest employer with a workforce of 13,513, followed by Kakamega (7,087), Bungoma (6,477), Kisii (5,965), Machakos (5,777) and Nakuru (5,681).

Marsabit County represented at the launch of the ethnic and diversity audit of the Kenyan County Public Service by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC). The most compliant, improved, and diverse counties will be awarded.
