A province can adequately fund or not fund their municipalities and that is 100% allowable.

Are there consequences to playing games with cities? Absolutely.

Edmonton & Calgary account for over 70% of the economic activity in Alberta.

Don’t maintain and the car will stall.

I’ll save you some time.

Any resident who pays property taxes should be able to influence municipal policy through voting and advocacy.

Permanent residents and refugees deserve a vote on a municipal level.

Since appointed, the minister of health doubled the size of senior executives in her department. Yes, 100% increase!

I tried to find answers from the Health Minister for her oversized department while Albertans struggle to find family doctors.

Minister, I find it hard to believe that you can’t work with PSIs to see where grant dollars are going.

This is political overreach. PSIs are being forced to suffer so that your government can pick a fight with Ottawa.

Let’s call a spade, a spade.

A portion of this property tax hike is because the Premier refuses to pay the $60 million that the Government of Alberta owes to the City of Edmonton in property taxes.

This 'minuscule' $60M is almost exactly what Edmonton spent on snow and ice removal in 2023 ($63.57M).

It is also just under half the ETS revenue from 2023 ($132.4M).

Is that insignificant to anyone else? UCP needs to pay up.

Is the Premier really suggesting the Liberal Party is ideologically interested in housing?

What a joke of a government. Housing is needed and Bill 18 is nothing more than useless red tape.

We have a Minister of Red Tape but it seems like someone isn’t doing their job…

The Government of Alberta pays to maintain Calgary’s Deerfoot Trail, but doesn’t pay the same maintenance for the Yellowhead or Whitemud.

Edmonton deserves a fair deal to maintain our provincial highways within city boundaries.

The Provincial Priorities Act creates unnecessary complexity and red tape. This legislation will stifle economic growth, stall infrastructure projects and cause investor uncertainty. The added barrier will slow down investment and hurt our ability to keep up with growth.…

If the UCP reversed reductions and funded Edmonton fairly, your property taxes could be ~7% lower.

It is very hard to run a functional city in a dysfunctional province.

Everyday that I go out and talk to constituents, crime and public safety comes up.

We are seeing shootings more often and lives are cut short through gun violence.

It is time for the provincial government to support municipal government tackle the problem, provide funding and…
