Enjoyable evening St James Guernsey last night listening to cricket legend Mike Brearley talk about psychoanalysis, philosophy, leadership, and of course cricket. Very thoughtful. Thx to Guernsey Lit Fest
Well can’t believe I managed to do my leg of Guernsey Marathon in 37 minutes. An unexpectedly speedy finish. Thanks to St John Ambulance Guernsey for all their sport before and during the race, to the organiser and volunteers and all those who gave their encouragement from the roadside today.
Well, in a moment of madness, agreed to do a leg of Guernsey Marathon for St John Ambulance Guernsey tomorrow. Yikes! 😳 Every joint and muscle already aching and I’ve not even started yet.
Delighted to host #Guernsey launch of The King’s Award for Enterprise! Thank you to Nicky & Chloe of The King's Awards, Deputy Steve Falla & the Economic Development Committee and Alice of Guernsey Chamber. Go to gov.uk/kings-awards-f… for more. #kingsawards States of Guernsey Business Guernsey
Worth a read in Guernsey Press today. It was the successful Sursis I proposed and Yvonne Burford seconded that sank the proposals for a new boat. It was one of those ‘spend to save’ claims that didn’t add up. It never made sense then and time has proven that to be the case.
Thanks to Paul Chambers for photos from last night’s Women in Public Life Guernsey event kindly hosted by Gov House Guernsey Love the group shot at the end of an enjoyable evening.
Interesting one. What happened to the CI Health Authority set up with Jersey last term? How is it different? Gavin St Pier 🇬🇬
Well attended event laid on by Guernsey Language Commission this afternoon. Interesting information about Guernesiais (Ger as in Gerry, nes as in necessary and yay as in yay), past, present and future plans. Learnt a few snippets while there and now having enne coupaie d’tée. Pas trop mal.
