If you want to treat an English teacher for birthday or some other reason, then buy them this beauty by Carol Atherton Carol Atherton. It is wonderful. I don’t think there’s a book like it that captures what being an English teacher is about. Such a rich, thoughtful book.
Bravo Carol Atherton! What a stunningly good book - powerful, passionate, erudite, entertaining & a vital reminder of why books & English matter. It should be required reading on every English ITT course & on every education policy maker’s reading list.

#TheGirlsWhoGrewBig is huge-hearted, hard-hitting; a novel about survival and sisterhood, prejudice and power, and defying the expectations of others and yourself. We can't wait to publish it in summer 2025.
