I remember being at a relatives’ house and a brick was thrown through the windows. My cousins chased home from the football by skinheads. The daily name calling. It sort of stays with you for life

Trevor Griffiths one of the great stage & television playwrights of the 1970s and 1980s has died. Has anyone (other than Brecht) blended political dialectic with theatrical magic better? If he'd only written COMEDIANS he'd be one of the greats, but he wrote so much more. RIP
