This month marks Holocaust Memorial Day Trust . We're remembering today the January Revolt of the Warsaw Uprising. This led to a disruption and temporary delay of the Nazis' deportations. Hundreds of brave Jewish people with makeshift weapons or those smuggled in by the Polish Resistance fought back

Super proud of our RAF Air Cadets team in the competition today. They worked hard in the lead up to this competition and have learned valuable lessons for next year’s effort too.

Well done to all House participants involved in House History today! Our new schemes of work focus on telling previously overlooked stories and analysing hidden voices- this was one of the questions today: who is the man in the middle, and why is he significant?

Olympic time is here! We’ve loved using Danny Boyle’s London 2012 opening ceremony as a means to teach the historic significance of the NHS- we can’t wait to analyse the inclusion of the Windrush and Industrial Revolution too in September!

Today is the 76th anniversary of the liberation of Bergen-Belsen. Today we remember all those who were incarcerated there, all who died, as well as the British Armed Forces members who liberated the camp.
