HoD students are presenting Work in Progress Seminars tomorrow, showcasing their research into objects V&A made before 1970 for this term's assignment.
Knots, kaleidoscopes and DIY are all on the menu by the looks of things!

BUT there have been some cancellations. So, come to V&A, Hochhauser Auditorium, at 10.00 AM and we'll try and seat any walk-ins.

HoD students had a session examining V&A dresses from c. 1780 + a Worth pastiche, a 1920s version and a Westwood homage for a 'Fashion and Celebrity' course.

Inter alia, we meet with Dr. Morna Laing's wonderful Fashion Studies MA students The New School and got introduced to @EcoledeLouvre's Annaig Chatian and her students on the curatorial courses run there.

We all managed to squeeze in a visit to musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac and the Tour Eiffel (where Dr Spike Sweeting contrived to look inexplicably grumpy).

And, then, a tour around the Palais Garnier NO, where we spotted some great light fittings!

Meanwhile, another group got a fantastic discussion of the collection and strategy of Palais de la Porte Dorée from its director, Dr Sébastien Gökalp...
