Known as 'The Girl in the Red Cap,' Ebba Lund was 16 when Germany invaded Norway and her native Denmark in 1940. In 1943, she joined in the nationwide rescue effort to save Danish Jews by sending them by boat to neutral Sweden. Her red cap identified her to those she helped.
