Since 2013, there have been 69 occasions of active or ex-police officers standing as candidate for one of the major parties in Bundestag elections.
21 or 30% of them stood for the AfD, more than for any other party.

This of course entirely ignores how German fascism looked and acted like throughout the 1920s.

The SA existed since 1921 when Hitler took over as leader of the NSDAP. Uniforms and violence were always there from the very beginning of fascist movements.
